Every morning I eat more than my husband or son. But I was better at eating when I was younger! Although we are from the south, dumplings were always the staple food in my mother's family. At that time, we celebrated New Year's Eve, and our parents did not restrict us from eating only vegetables and not eating during the New Year's Eve dinner. Then, my eldest brother or my mother always chops the stuffing first. My eldest brother is diligent and always kneads the dough, my mother rolls out the dough, and my little brother and I make the dough together. My dad never takes care of things. He only cares about cooking the stove. In an era of black and white TV, we made dumplings and watched the phone to stay up late. Before 12 o'clock, all the dumplings were wrapped and I cooked a pot for a midnight snack. At that time, I felt that celebrating the New Year was so great! The dumplings are so delicious! To this day, my mother still says that I once ate nearly twenty dumplings! Haha, I really can eat dumplings! Now, I still often make dumplings and don’t like pure meat. I really like the fillings of various vegetables and meat. But I was the only one keeping silent. My husband and son only eat buns and don't like them.
