【BBK Sushi Roll】--- The second course of the 2012 New Year’s Eve dinner (staple)
Overview
In a flash, New Year's Day is coming again. I still remember the scene before last year's New Year, when the three of us gathered together, facing the menu I had written in advance, and ticking the boxes. Whether it’s delicacies from mountains and seas or simple meals, whatever you like is the best. In life, the daily meals are mainly for the mother-in-law and the children. Consider what they need to eat and what they like to eat, and there are more, and then they are the father of the children. And I am a person who can tolerate sour, sweet, bitter, spicy, numbing, salty, bland...all kinds of tastes. There's nothing I don't like about the ingredients, so the last thing I have to worry about is myself. I served sweet soup as the first dish for the New Year's Eve dinner. This is the second dish, a very simple sushi, but I just changed the knife method to cut it. There are two reasons for serving this dish. First, my mother-in-law and two children love to eat this, and it is also a dish designated by my daughter. Second, neither the elderly nor children are suitable to eat a lot of greasy food on an empty stomach, so I chose to put it second to fill up the stomach a little first before eating the next dish. (Perhaps you may think, is this necessary? I need to fill my stomach first. In fact, I have always been very careful about my child's stomach. I am afraid that if I eat something bad, it will cause discomfort, and if the child has diarrhea, it will cause great damage to the child. Peace and security are the best, and the child will grow stronger easily. Especially during the Chinese New Year, there is a lot of food at home, so we must not neglect the child's diet because of the excitement and busyness.) I specially cut it with a diagonal knife to symbolize improvement step by step. I hope that in the new year, whether it is the child's study, dad's business, or family happiness, it will all reach a higher level.

Ingredients
Steps
-
Prepare a large bowl of rice.
-
Prepare the side dishes: cut the cucumber, carrot, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, and ham into small strips.
-
Place the other vegetable strips except ham on a plate, add 2 tablespoons of white vinegar, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt, mix well, and marinate for a while. (The pickled ones are not only crispier in texture, but also sour and sweet, and taste particularly good)
-
Crack the eggs into a bowl, add 1 tablespoon of water starch, add 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and stir evenly.
-
Heat a thin layer of oil in a non-stick pan, pour in egg liquid, and fry into egg skin.
-
Remove and cut into shredded eggs.
-
After the cooked rice has cooled slightly, add an appropriate amount of sushi vinegar and mix well. (This amount can be proportional, or you can increase or decrease it according to your favorite taste)
-
Take a piece of nori and lay it on the sushi curtain.
-
Spread a layer of sushi rice evenly, leaving some on top. (In order to make it easy to stick when rolled up)
-
On the side in front of you, where the rice is a little higher, spread various ingredients.
-
Then use the sushi curtain to push the nori and roll it up tightly.
-
After rolling, open it and wrap it up one by one.
-
Taking 2 sushi rolls as an example, first divide the rolled sushi roll into three, and then cut each portion into two equal-sized pieces.
-
Arrange on plate, garnish with dipping sauce, and serve.
