Braised pork trotters

Braised pork trotters

Overview

Hoof, also known as pig's feet, is said by traditional Chinese medicine to be neutral in nature, sweet and salty in taste, and enters the stomach meridian. It is a nourishing product and has functions such as tonifying weakness, replenishing kidney essence, and strengthening the waist and knees. Pig's trotters are the most popular meat in my family, especially my husband's favorite meat. I often make this dish at home. Pig's trotters are delicious but difficult to cook. Once the pig's trotters are not cooked well, there will always be an unpleasant smell. If you want to make fragrant braised pig's trotters in sauce, you must first blanch the pig's trotters. Adding a little white wine can more effectively remove the odor of the pig's trotters. Braised pork trotters requires more spices and ingredients, especially the amount of cinnamon, peppercorns, ginger and green onions, which is a little more than what we usually use for other meats. Remember to add a few grains of garlic.
