Prepare ingredients

Pour an appropriate amount of oil into a pan and heat until 70% hot. Add peppercorns, star anise and ginger slices and sauté until fragrant

Add two teaspoons of bean paste and stir-fry until fragrant

Add stock, about 500 ml

Pour in all the ingredients except spinach and vermicelli, add a teaspoon of dark soy sauce and cook over high heat for five minutes
