Glutinous rice and bean paste dessert buns
Overview
When I was a kid, I loved bags. There were not so many products in those days. My mother would always make bags for me out of floral fabrics (not only bags, but also hats, rag dolls, rag doll sweaters, and skirts. Mom could make everything). And I don’t have a sewing machine at home, so my mother sews everything by hand, which is amazing. The bags she makes are super beautiful, and they are all beautiful in my opinion. One time I brought a coin purse that my mother made for me to school. I didn’t show it off on purpose. My classmates saw it and asked me where I bought it. I said it was made of floral cloth by my mother. Unexpectedly, my friends went home to find scraps of cloth and asked their mothers to sew bags, but not everyone knew it, so many mothers of my friends asked my mother to learn how to make bags. I remember that at that time, I often heard my friends praising my mother with envy, saying that so-and-so’s mother was the most skillful. The aunts also often heard their children say that my mother would make one for me, and so-and-so’s mother would do it... Haha, later on, under the influence of my mother, I liked to do handicrafts, especially sewing, since I was a child. I made many clothes for dolls. I still remember that my ideal at that time was to be a tailor. Haha, this little bag made me relive my childhood memories. This time I made an edible little bag. I made a small dessert using glutinous rice flour, rice flour, cocoa powder, milk, etc. and steamed it. It was similar to the skin of snow-skin mooncakes. I made a small bag and filled it with bean paste filling. It was delicious and beautiful (unfortunately, I only have cocoa powder as the only colorful ingredient at home, and the color of the bag is not bright enough). Not only is it delicious, but it is also full of childhood memories.
