Soft and waxy donuts
Overview
I have never dared to make donuts, this fried bagel. When I think of it rolling in a big pot of oil, it's hard to make up my mind to do it. Suddenly one day I had an enlightenment. Air fryer! I once experimented with fried dough sticks in a fryer. The texture of the fried dough sticks seems to be similar to that of donuts? The theory is feasible, but the grille basket of this fryer will leave streak marks on anything soft and falling. How about covering it with baking paper? In this way, the soft dough will not sink into the gaps of the mesh basket. The capacity of the fryer is too small, and only four circles must be done in batches. Moreover, because the fryer sets the shape instantly, the donut squeezes the hole in the middle to nothing as it gradually expands. Only the last circle is left alone, and the hole is enlarged before putting it in the pot. After baking, a small hollow is finally left. It seems that fryer donuts are still feasible, but they have to be enlarged and baked one by one so that they do not squeeze each other and leave enough space for the empty circles. However, roasting them one by one would be too energy-consuming and time-consuming. . . .
